Mike Nguyen (aka.) Modern Warfare 3.wmv

My hobbies besides photography, spans well across the board from painting, scalping, computer modding, photoshop, break dancing, and the occasional first person shooter action packed gaming experiences.

My competitive nature never lets me settle for second best. As you can see in this video clip I made, I usually rank in the top 3 in my Modern Warfare 3 Pc online multiple player battles.

I usually use the P90 with Rapidfire / extended clip and Mp9 with the akimbo / extended mag. My perks are usually Extreme condition pro / Blast shield pro / Stalker pro. This combination doesn't always work for every battle scenario but for Drop zone for the most part is quick, light, and deadly.

Every now and then I will post some MW3 videos soon. :)

Phantogram - Don't Move (Live on 89.3 The Current)

One of my all time favorite bands Phantograms.

Misfits Publication #2 This February issue 2012 is provided by Satellite Magazine 2012.
One of the best magazines in LA, they really know how to select editorials and providing a unique treat with there smaller size issues. This really bring the readers closer to the magazine giving it a more classic cant miss type feel to a print. I love this magazine!

My Editorial Shoot Spring / Summer 2012.

I have been planning this shoot for a while now with so many hiccups, difficulties, stress and I am sure I have been driving Kristen M Stuart nuts too. All  the many months of planning finally came to a head.

The morning started off with a full hair and makeup session with celebrity hairstylist Neeko at Salon Sessions. We have been working together for a long time and I consider him a person team member hairstylist with eye for the right look on the model and a willingness to try something new.

Queenga my model was a joy to work with high energy and a flare for life she brought it when ever I needed it and knows how to laugh at her own self and not take life so seriously.

I had a cart service arranged to drive us around on our 200 acres location. It was a great day with a lot great shots and fun for everyone.

I had to give special thinks to everyone in my team. Sparkle, Alyssa, Neeko, Phoung My, Kristen, Jeffery, Jun, Marie, Andrew and Faithe. I would like to also give special thanks to my family. all the PR people, The Dew Agency, and companies that supported us.

No model can resist the In & Out!

This editorial will be out soon, be on the look out this S/S 2012!

Story Tellers

I love love editorials, I looking at them and wondering many things like what they are doing, thinking and feeling besides looking at how nice and expensive there clothing are. If you look carefully you can really tell the difference between a business photographer and a artistic one. This artistic skill and trade is a dying art in this industry of numbers, percentage, base format, and structured cookie cutouts. I hope there is still a place for people like us in this world.

One of my favorite new editorials of 2012 by Will Davidson.

Fuddy Duddy (AKA old fart)

I am a such a fuddy duddy, my model just flew in from NYC, we picked her up from LAX and took her to her hotel. It was still early she wanted to see the town and hang out, shes has never been here before. I felt bad I am so in a rush to get back to work I hate being so busy sometimes, I had have my roommate chaperon her around LA. I dont think he mind at all. LOL

Lana Del Rey recently signed with Next Models NYC besides being a up and coming singer. She is definitely to be the one to look out for on covers of magazines such as Vogue 2012 -13 I predict.

Fashion Stylist Extraordina

Kristen M Stuart is to be the one to look out for this year. Not only is she my fiance but her creative insights on whats hot and in, keeps me inline with whats going on all over the world. I cant say enough of her artistry, she is a must visit!

New York Socialite Zelda Kaplan Dies After Collapsing at Fashion Show

She lived for fashion and she died by it that is a true fashionista.
New York Socialite Zelda Kaplan Dies After Collapsing at Fashion Show: This is sad: Zelda Kaplan, a fixture of the New York social scene, died Wednesday after collapsing in the front row of a fashion show. She was 95. Kaplan keeled over midway through the Joanna Mastroianni runway show at Lincoln Center. She was carried out...

Woot.com

One of my new discoveries, shown to me by my friend Jun. If you stop by this site every night at 10:00pm you might have a chance in running in to some awesome item that insane discounts, the catch is it up only once a day and the random crap you will see a lot of the time isn't worth it,but every now great items like canon cameras.

Adele is killin it! I love that girl! She looks amazing on the cover of Vogue, I would kill to shoot her!

Underpressure

I  have been under the gun lately. With deadlines, request, projects and such. So I decided to watch a documentary on the "Science of Stress" from the History channel. I highly recommend watching it btw. It really dove in the the whole history of stress and the illness it cases. People tend to think stress causes ulcers manly, but that is not the only problems it will cause. When your stress you in the higher bracket to getting problems like diabetes, heart problems, memory loss, cancer, and weight gain to speak of a few. I am really trying to control the stress factor. It is not easy when you have so much to juggle. I try to do these things in my life more often like just try to rest more in the middle of the day, listen to music, play with my cat or go outside take breaks.

If your looking something different the the standard Valentines Day gift.

If you want to buy something a little more different then the standard flowers and chocolate. I recommend the
LCN MAGNETIC NAIL POLISH STARTER SET
LCN $129.99

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005OBRV98

Shake the polish bottle well. Apply a thick layer of magnetic polish and hold one of the magnets (diagonal or star) over the wet surface of the polish for about 10 seconds to create the design as you watch! The magnet pushes away the polish below it to mirror the pattern!

This is still quite new and revolutionary and you will sure to impress your girl with your stylish skills.

back to the grin!

So I am back in LA now and time to get crackin, so many messages and emails to get back to besides editing! : o

Every editorial

Like they say copying is flattery, I guess. I wish it wasn't like the next month and in the same publications or every editorial I do. My works are all inspired by my dreams, history, or older works from the past not someone's ideas right after they shot it in the same month.

On my home from the east coast.

I was getting kind of home sick. Cant to be back in LA, where it's nice and warm.

Using my images for your benefit.

NOTE TO ALL YOU BLOGGERS:
If your going to use my images please do not forget to give credit where its do. I love bloggers for the fact that you can bring to light what is in and what is fashionable but, I hate the fact that you get credit for taking images and not giving proper credit, just for your own personal gain.

Think Twice

Yes I am late lol and this will be my first post...

I been hearing from many photographers about this one photographer that clams to be an "Editorial Fashion Photographer", when he really only shoots girls in jean shorts, half naked, with the hair in the face, little to no publications and charging thousands of dollars to have people come to his workshop.
It really offends a lot of photographers including myself and there are teams that actually work really hard, put time and effort, invest their own money to put together stories, mood boards, themes wardrobe, hair, and makeup to create such beautiful works.

That's why I will never do a mass workshop until I feel it's the right time too.
